Independence

The biggest of the new developments is Horizon West, a 38,000-acre master-planned community that has been in the planning stages for a decade. At buildout, its two villages-Bridgewater and Lakeside-will contain nearly 18,000 homes.

The first neighborhood is Independence, located in the Bridgewater village. The 1,342-acre project will encompass 2,415 homes, a 5,300-square-foot clubhouse, two town centers, three schools, two lakes and 600 acres of parks and preservation areas.
